Day 19

Woke up early in the morning, went to the back street with julian to buy "Tang Bao" which was my favourite. Then we departed from WUST towards the 3 gorges. The journey took us 5 hours and even before we reached our destination, my butt ached. LOL. We dropped at a restaurant in Yi Chang for lunch and proceeded on towards the 3 gorges. Thanks to my smart room mates whom brought lots of snacks, I was able to feed my empty stomach when I felt hungry.
Upon reaching the 3 gorges, we hopped onto their mini buses which brought us to 3 different places where we get to expose ourselves to the well known 3 gorges before some of the areas were to be floaded due to the dam.
We boarded the cruise, which was said to be the local 4 star, at 8pm. We were told that the cruise will leave at 7pm but to my surprise they are willing to wait for us. Even after we boarded the cruise and that I had bathed, the cruise didn't move at all. It departed only after 10.30pm which was like,2 and a half hour after we were late. It doesn't seems like they are very organized. We had our dinner in the cruise and I feel that the food served, can be better but I would say that those food are much more healthier.

Day 18

Nothing much to blog today. Had IS lecture and follow by BPE lecture. As usual, Andy, Chin Xiang, Julian and I went to eat together. It seems like four of us are always together especially during lunch. We had lunch at the canteen selling Halal food.

After lunch, Julian and I brought our bedsheets and clothes down for laundry services. I was told that it costs RMB 11.50 but the lady charged us RMB 15 as we got too many things to wash. Upon returning back to our room, china xiang, julian and I went down to Mr Puah's room for another round of laundry service haha.

While both of them are resting in the room, I went out to play basketball with my ECE friends. Exercise haha. Tomorrow will be another round of tour/journey to the 3 gorges. Hope it will be fun and beneficial for me. 24 more days to go before I get things done properly with no regrets. Tough especially when there is shopping to be done and projects to do haha.

Day 17

Had BPE lecture this morning. Couldn't concentrate on the lecture as I was seriously too tired. I managed to finish my quiz just in time before everyone leave the classroom. We had lunch together at the new canteen and again, fried rice haha. I ordered egg fried rice but the person never cook mine and blamed me for not telling him when I already ordered my rice so i just get one of the fried rice that he cooked. Wasn't a good encounter at all.
I slept in my room till around 4.30pm and went to play badminton with karen and follow by julian who joined us later. Later in the evenings, some of us including me went to buy our dinner as well as something to surprise STEFFI, Birthday GIRL!!! I hope our noise level wasn't very high as we were enjoying ourselves outside the balcony haha.

Day 16

Skipped IS lecture today with willis, adeline and andy. I accompanied andy for dental check-up while the other 2 went to WUST hospital. We went straight to the administrative office and we were told to wait till 8.30am when the clinic will then be open. We thought we had to take a cab there but thank god, they drove us there haha. Saved our trouble and money. Poor andy who had to suffer the pain for 2 or 3 more weeks. He was told to come back for 2 or 3 more check-up as well as tooth surgery.

Upon returning to WUST, we saw benji, chin xiang and julian while walking towards the IS lecture hall. It ended earlier today and the others are all in the classroom awaiting for test already. To me, i felt that the test wasn't that easy for me but I was able to at least finish the paper. Praise the lord!

After the test we went our lunch at the new canteen and went back to our room to rest. About 3.3opm i went to play basketball with andy, chin xiang and my ECE friends and after that, played badminton with karen, julian and more. Haha.

Julian, adeline, andy and i stayed back in our room to do our own stuffs while the others all went out for dinner. I felt that it was a wise choice as we managed to have time to wash our clothes, take in all the dry clothes and clean our room. This marks the end of the day.
Day 15
Nothing much to report/blog today. Had BPE lecture this morning and follow by our quiz as usual. Tutorial was cancelled so as to give us more time for test tomorrow. I rested in mr room for a few hours and went out to play basketball with my friends from the ECE division and after that played badminton and followed by jogging with julian and karen at a nearby stadium. Didnt know there was a stadium until chin xiang told me. Haha. I feel that the stadium was the actually 400m size but it seems like some are disagreeing it with me.

Upon returning to my room, china xiang, julian and i tidied our room and shifted our tables, chairs and floor mat. Our room seems so much spacious and clean now. After this we had cup noodle as our dinner.

1st NE Message: Singapore is our homeland; this is where we belong.

I feel that Singapore is still the best place for me to stay in. The culture differences here is really huge as compared to Singapore. I prefer the food in Singapore as it's more healthy and the places in Sgp also as it's cleaner. I can't imagine if i were to stay here any longer, I will seriously get fatter. Singapore allows smoking in some areas only whereas in china, they can even smoke in school canteen and even in the cab. I'm not used to the smoke.

Day 14

Had breakfast at the same restaurant down our resort today. I thought it would be buffet breakfast but it turned out to be just a normal breakfast. Dishes served was simple chinese food, not international.

We're forced to check out early in the morning which I kind of feel that it was unfair. I thought usually checking out of resort/hotelis 12pm.

Anyway we went on to the 绿林寨 where we get to experience climbing a real mountain. Though it was slightly dangerous but thank god no major accident happened from what I know. There were many beautiful sceneries and not to mention, weird insects which I never seen before. There was one part of the tour whereby we're almost at the peak of the mountain and we could see and feel the mists. Although this programme was somehow tiring but I feel that it is indeed a worthy thing to do.
Day 13

It was an exciting day today as I finally get to try out how water rafting is like. At first I thought it would be kind of frightening but it turns out to be seriously fun haha. The slope that most of us are afraid of, turned out to be a guided path. The slope wasn't that steep also. Overall I guess the rafting was indeed the highlight of this trip so far. I rafted with andy and I'm glad to say that we indeed corrdinated well enough while rafting :)

We had lunch at the restaurant near our rafting area which was also the place where we will be staying over for the night. Food was reasonable though some of the dishes are seriosuly too spicy. So far everytime i go restaurant for lunch or dinner, there will always be at least one hot & spicy dish. I guess china people like spicy food a lot.

After rafting we bathed in the bathing room whereby there was no doors and we can see each other clearly. We went over to "Mei Ren Gu" to take a look at the water falls. It was indeed something to be happy about to see something that cannot be found in Singapore. To be able experience the truely natural scenery, I guess this trip is indeed a fruitful one.

We checked in our resort back at place where we had our lunch, and had our dinner there as well. The dishes served was around the same as those dishes served in the afternoon. After we had eaten, we returned to our own rooms. I believe all of us were too happy and satisfied with the room. 2 queen size bed in a room with TV, towels, tea table & chairs etc.

Later in the night, Mr Puah, benjamin & chin xiang bought fireworks and majority of us went down to the open space in front of our resort and enjoy the beautiful scenes of the fireworks. Fireworks are banned in Singapore but no in China, they can enjoy the beautiful scene of fireworks everyday.

Day 12

Went for industrial visit today, Coca Cola factory. Journey there was kinda long. After playing our psp we still manage to have enough time to sleep before we reach the factory.
Each of us had a bottle of free coke when we enter the building for our briefing before our tour in the factory starts. It was fun looking at some of the processes of how the bottles of drinks are made/produced.
After the visit, our bus dropped us at somewhere near "Bu Xing Jie" and we had our lunch together at pizza hut. I left earlier with julian, chin xiang and andy. We walked around ourselves and xiang & andy managed to buy something they have been craving for and we left "Bu Xing Jie" for WUST. We had a hard time finding ways home as the cab we flagged, none willing to drive us to WUST due to traffic jam so we had to find buses that will bring us back to WUST.
Upon reaching WUST, I changed and went for a jog with 3 of them and we played badminton after jogging. Finally, burnt some fats!!!!

Day 11

Had IS lecture in the morning at 8.15am. It seems that the powerpoint slides are still very wordy and mostly not in point form like those in Singapore. Also, the number of slides "xiao ling lao shi" prepared, are always 100 to 300 slides which is 2 to 4 times more than the lecture slides used in NP.

Went to "Computer City" with shiuan^2, vivien and willis to get the faulty stuffs changed and take a look around the area for more cheap stuffs. It seems like what Xiao Ling lecturer said was true, wuhan peoples are indeed hard to negotiate with. We tried to bargain for a better price but it seems like none are willing to agree with us. While on the way to "Computer City", we dropped by one of the vegetarian restaurant and had our lunch. Though i don't eat vegetarian foods but i guess at least i ate something just now and i'm full.

We took a double decker bus to Walmart to meet the other logisticians who are coming from WUST. It was our first time taking a double decker in Wuhan. It's kind of similar to the double decker in Singapore. Had dinner at KFC and proceeded back to WUST by bus which took us around 30 mins.

Day 10

Had BPE lecture this morning at 9am and follow by quiz 3. I was totally shagged today. Have been sleeping very late this few days due to the amount of work that had to be done and some personal stuffs to do. Felt kind of stressed when i realized some of my friends are already doing the next quiz while i'm like still slightly behind. It seems like it will be getting more and more competitve as time goes by. Hope i can just follow my own pace and ignore the others.

Had "Lotus rice" again for lunch and i seriously feel i'm getting fatter!!! Everything here that i dare to eat are all oily stuffs. None are healthy.

Anway, all logisticians left for the "Computer city" after lunch except for me, samantha and adeline. I felt that i need a rest in order to replenish my energy. Rested in my room and later on had dinnner with both of them.

Heard from fiza, whom came back earlier from the "Computer city", that julian bought me a ear-piece. I seriously felt very touched that they still remember me even though i was not with them. This group of people i know, though some are competitive but they're thoughful.

Day 9

Woke up early today and had my breakfast in the canteen before going for the IS lecture. I got to know more places of interest during today's lecture and also history of China.

Imediately after the IS is our BPE lecture. Two lecture in a row. Tiring indeed. As usual we had our quiz after the lecture and this time round, it seems like it's even tougher now. In between the lecture we had an one hour break and we went to the new canteen for lunch again. This time round, i tried the lotus rice which is in fact, friend rice with lotus leaf as the base. It wasn't as oily as i expected it to be due to the lotus leaf which absorbed the oil! Haha.

I went back to my room to tidy up after lunch and went to sleep as i was seriously too tired. Woke up by julian for a game of badminton and shiuan^2, willis and company joined us. I left half way with shiuan^2, vivien and willis to take a look around the night market. The key was with me and because i took such a long time to get back to the room, my room mates had to wait for me. Felt really guilty but i cant just leave the girls alone. The thought of danger in china made me wana stay put by their side.

I seriously felt grateful towards my room mates also for being so understanding :) Anyway i had fried rice again for dinner. I think i should listen to Mr Chia's advice. I don't want to put on weight but the other way round haha.

Last programme of the night is my team meeting which went smoothly and everything are well discussed.

Day 8

Managed to wake up early and get myself changed today for breakfast. It's my first time of the 8 days so far.

Attended BPE lecture early in the morning at 9am. We finally started on our chapter 1 of our module. Lesson was not draggy and quite easy to understand. We ended the lesson with our first quiz. It was kinda tough and we spent around 45 minutes and our lesson ended at around 12pm.

Today is the first day of school reopen for WUST and a new canteen have finally appeared! Food there was nice and the place is air-conditioned. Something bad about the place is that it's too smoky. If this can be changed, i think this will be the best canteen so far.

We went to shop to check out prices of Converse shoes as we heard there were good deals. Unfortunately it turns out not to be what we had expected so we separated outselves into 4 groups and we went shopping in our groups. Accompanied Julian to buy a pair of badminton racket and on the way home, we purchased shuttercocks and the racket grip. We proceeded to play badminton and volleyball back in WUST as more and more of the logisticians joined us.

As it's teacher's day today, we went out to have dinner with Mr Puah and Mr Wong at a nearby restaurant. The foods there are by far the best out of those restaurants that i went, though we weren't allow to take photos. We prepared a cake for both of them and also a gift for Mr Puah as a token of our appreciation towards him.
